A Thikana ruled till India got Independence by Bhati rulers who were Jagirdars of this Area.  This jagir falls under Sitamau state ruled by Rathores. Late Thakur Bharat Singh Ji Bhati (Died on 10th June 1989) was the last jagirdaar of this Thikana. Village Bharatpura is been named after his name as per gazette published in 1948. This village had a name Guga-khedi till 1948. Bharat singh ji succeded by his six sons - Late Th. Krishna Pal Singh Ji , Late Th. Arjun Singh Ji, Late Th Raghubeer Singh Ji  , Late Th. Bhaktawar Singh Ji, Th Govind Singh Ji & Th. Anoop Singh Ji. Thakur Mahaveer singh Ji ( son of Late Th. Krishnapal Singh Ji) is current Rawle of Bharatpura.
