The real name is Kampang khullel and not kambang khullen. The distance from Imphal is 89 KM and 23 KM from Tengnoupal Sub-Division. The village lies along the alternative national Highway 102 in Yomadoung range (also called Maring Hills) of Tengnoupal Sub-Division in Chandel District of Manipur state, India between Kabaw valley and Imphal valley. It's poetic name is Ningnakhu in Maring . Many Maring historical places like Lhouyangpal(warriors gate), Cholomthil, Wapur manchem, phomi chin, Dampanathil etc are located in Kampang khullel village.

It is a Maring Naga Village and they speak " Maring dialect".
