Gk lanka is a serene village with  a population of around 3,000 with a living conditions are being  developed recently ,though it is nearest village. To the taluq head quarters, being loop land place. the infrastructure Developed in this village  is after the power lines were corrected in the Year 1982 on wards.the main occupation of these people are agriculture and Fishing. people in this village are very much daring and enterprising by Nature, they are ready to face any kind of danger caused due to either by Nature or by man-made.the village was witnessed for harmony among the masses,though the rest of the taluq faced severe cast/communal attacks. 

The village gave birth to various prominent persons,who sacrificed their. Lives for the sake of suppressed people, ex :-gummadi seetha ramaiah, raavi parandhamaih etc, were killed in the police firing along with matryers sri daasari chenchaiah and others isukapalli near vepallamma cheruvu, repalle. Mr.r v prasad from this village has been first industrialist  entered in to iron & steel industry, cement industry. gk lanka was various people, who came from other villages.
