Korba

The city of Korba is located on the bed of the rivers named Hasdo and Ahiran. Korba is counted as one of the most significant districts in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The renowned Korba tribes dwell in Korba. The dwelling place for several of the tribal groups is the thick dense forests, which escaped the harsh touch of modernism. The rich culture of the tribal people is still preserved.

The presence of the Aluminum Plant has made Korba quite famous. There are rich deposits of minerals here. The wildlife of Korba is also bestowed with unique species of exotic plants and animals.

Pali: Pali, a small village, is a must see location during one’s trip to Korba. The distance between this village and Korba City is 58 Kms. One can get mesmerized by the enchanting sparkling lake and the remnants of the age old temples. There is an archaic Shiva Temple present. 

Kanki: The distance of the renowned Shiva Temple is 20 Kms. Kankeshwar Mahadev Temple is another name given to this temple. 

Lafagarh: The distance of this place called Lafagarh from Korba is 19 Kms. This place is famous for the presence of a natural fort, which is considered as one of the strongest natural forts of India.

Sitamani Temples & Caves: These caves are another of the popular attractions of Korba. There are statues of Rama, Sita and Laxman present in these caves, which are cut out of rocks. 

Kendai Waterfall: The altitude of the waterfall is 55 feet. It is located at the Tiger Point. 

Bango Dam: This location is famous for being a nice and enjoyable picnic spot.

By rail: Korba has its own railway station.

By road: State run buses are easily available. Korba has connections to the NH 111. Road transport includes state run buses, taxis and private buses.
