It is a famous pilgrim and historical spot in Belgaum district of Karnataka. Bhartinand Swamiji Math, Hafiz Bari Dargah, Jamia Masjid and Sogal Someshwar Devastana are famous Hindus and Islam religious places. Kittur prison where Rani Chennama was imprisoned and died is also located here.
