Kawardha is situated on the rim of the picturesque Maikal Hill Range. The renowned Kanha National Park is situated on the south east direction of Kawardha. It is a small town yet blooms with the luxurious beauty of the nature along with its unusual customs and traditions.

Radha Krishna Temple: The existence of this renowned temple can be traced back to the time period of 19th century. There are some rooms present which are underground rooms and also a sacred water tank is there close to this temple. The name of the sacred lake is Ujiya Sagar.

It is situated at a distance of 21 Kms from Kawardha. Animals such as leopards, sloth bears, cheetah, jackals, jungle cats, etc. can be seen in this sanctuary.
