In village Gahani Consolidation proceeding was initiated sometime in year 1965 and thereafter the consolidation proceeding was stopped in the village by the District Administration, Jaunpur without giving approach road to the Abadi of Kumhar Basti, Yadav Basti, Saroj Basti. Not only this, in the village there is no land for playground, no Pasture land at all, no land for Panchayat Bhawan, no land for any cultural or social functions. There is also report by BDO Mariyanhu as well as Lekhpal, Machhalishahar that all aforesaid problems can be solved in Second Round Consolidation. But consolidation proceeding in spite of order of Consolidation Commissioner, Lucknow is not proceeding in the village. The Consolidation Officer is talking of the provisions of the Rules and Act that since some villagers are opposing therefore Second Round consolidation proceeding cannot be started. He is not aware at all of this fact that by not giving pathway facilities to the Abadis of Kumhar Basti, Yadav Basti, Saroj Basti and Bind Basti, grave and serious irregularity and illegality have been committed in the First Round of Consolidation of the Village Gahani. As per Rules and Regulation, it is always deemed that in the First Round of Consolidation all Abadi Sites would have been joined from two sides with the main road as well as the citizens living in every Abadi of the Village Gahani would have pathway or Chakroad to reach to their Chaks, but it is not so. Therefore, now to talk of Rules and Regulations by the Consolidation Officer, Jaunpur is incorrect in view of the fact of the matter as reported by the BDO and Revenue Authorities of Tehsil Machhalishar. The Consolidation Officer, Jaunpur is not aware of this fact that the order of second round consolidation of the village Gahani has been passed by the Consolidation Commissioner, Lucknow in view of the direction of the State Government on an application dated 6th August, 2014 moved by the citizens of the village Gahani before the State Government on the subject of pathway problem in the village. But present Village Pradhan is not taking care of the problems of the citizens of the village Gahani, no work at all is being done to improve the social status of the backward and scheduled caste citizens of this village. Even no one of BJP or SP or BSP coming forward to the help of the citizens of the village. Village Gahani is online shown to be under consolidation. In the village Gahani, backward class and scheduled class never enjoyed a good social status; sometime they were elected as Village Pradhan but no work for their development was or is done as is evident from the reports of the BDO, Mariyanhu and Tehsil Authority Machhalishahar submitted in May, 2018.
