The charms of Vagamon hill station is peacefully nested in the border of Idukki-Kottayam district in Kerala at an altitude of 1100 metersfrom the sea level.  It is a wonderland for tourists especially for honeymooners. It is a Christian monastery. Good Friday is celebrated as grand festival. The devotees climbs the hill by carrying the wooden holy cross.  It is a popular Christian pilgrim and community for spiritual seekers and those who believe Indian spirituals and Gandhian philosophy.The Resurrection Garden is the top most area of this ashram. It feeds poor every day. Kurisumala is well known for pure honey and milk production. 

Vagamon lake is amazingly surrounded by the mist covered mountains and lush greenery. Boat ride in this lake at the mesmerizing back drop of colorful flowers and manicured lawns is most loved activity among tourists.

Adventurous people are fond of Vagamon for the thrilling rock climbing and trekking of 1100 meters high hill. The picturesque surrounding beauty made trekking routes more interesting . Paragliding is another adrenaline pumping activity to be enjoyed.

Murugan Para – a famous rock-cut temple located at a distance of 8 km from Vagamon attracts several devotees. Thangal Para – Dhargah of Sheik Fariduddin  and a perched huge rock is famous for yearly congregation of devotees. Dairy farming, Vaaagamon falls and Mundakayam Ghats are other places to hang around.
