By AIR It does not have its own airport. Therefore the tourists need to arrive at Kolkata Airport in order to reach Sagardwip by plane as it is the nearest airport. Taxi or cab is available from the airport. The Kolkata Airport is well connected with all the parts of the country and foreign as well.
By TRAIN Sealdah or Howrah station in Kolkata is the nearest rail head of Sagardwip. It takes few hours to reach Sagardwip from the station. The railway is well linked with all parts of the country.
By BUS Regular buses are accessible from all the parts of West Bengal. It takes 3-4 hours to reach the spot. Both private and state buses are available.

The best time to visit the place is in the mid of January, during the Gangasagar Mela or in winter between September- December.
