Marari beach is located 60 km from Cochin, popularly known as Mararikulam. It is perfect tourist paradise with stunning back waters, scenic surroundings, green palm trees and vast expanded Arabian Sea. The tranquil beauty of Kerala is best experienced in Marari beach. It is pristine and secluded beach to enjoy water surfing, skiing and Para sailing in grand Arabian Sea. Beach volleyball is the prominent tourist activity here. It is popularly known as Mattenchery Palace located in Mattenchery. It was originally built by Portuguese and modified by Dutch during 16th century. It depicts events of great epics Ramayana and Mahabharatha in the form of mural paintings. It is witness of fine blend of Portuguese and Kerala architecture. 

It is the oldest European church in India and well maintained till present. The Roman catholic chants were first heard in this church.  An ancient 15th century church beautifully decorated with lively paintings of Bible events.

Tourists can see these Chinese fishing nets throughout the coastal line. It is believed to be brought by Chinese traders. Except China, nowhere else this type of fishing nets can be seen. The popularity of these nets are still maintained by locals and tourists.

Cochin international airport is 64 km from Marari beach

Marari is easily reached from Cochin railway station. It is around 5 km from Cochin railway station.

Several state and private buses are well connecting Marai beach to Cochin. From Cochin various districts and cities of Kerala are easily reached.
