A famous port town located near the Bay of bengal in Krishna district of Andra pradesh. Once it was a flourishing seaport during 17th century and one of the first European settlement of India. Some earlier legends claims that the name of this town is coined after the gateway was decorated with eyes of fish or 'Machili'.

The Panduranga Swamy Temple: The hotspot of Machelipatnam, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The idol of Lord Krishna, measuring 3 feet is adorned with amazing diamond studded crown and finely decorated ornaments. Many festivals are grandly celebrated in this temple and attracts many devotees and tourists. It houses many small temples in which temple of Radha, Rukmini and Sathyababa is famous among devotees. One should not be miss this temple while visiting Machelipatnam.
Manginapudi Beach: It is fantastic seaside fishing village located at a distance of 11 km from Machelipatnam. The black soil and shallow bay water are the characteristic features of Manginapudi Beach. School of Kuchipudi dance located at the beach side made the journey more joyful. Dip in the sea during festival time is considered holy and divine.
