Khammam district is located in the north central of Andra Pradesh, situated on the bank of river Munneru, one of the tributaries of majestic river Krishna at a distance of 190 km from Hyderabad. It possess collection of different cultures and holds the fame of largest tribal populated city and has a rich historical significance. Khammam Fort: Khammam fort is built around 13th century. It is celebrated 1000 years of existence and made this a major tourist spot. The fort is located on a hill called 'Stambadhri'.
