Places to visit
Bahubali Monolithic Statue
It is a gigantic monolithic statue of Gomateshwara which is measuring 42 feet in height. It was believed to be built in 1432 AD. Maha Masthakaaabhisheka is the famous festival where the statue is bathed by milk, saffron paste and water which is held once in 12 years. It is an awesome second largest statue in Karnataka.
Chaurmukha Basadi
The sacred Jain temple was built in 1432 AD and one of the noteworthy monuments in Karkala. The 108 pillars of this shrine is the highlighting feature. It is one of the most beautiful and famous temple in Karkala and an ideal place for meditation and prayers.
