The Kanchi River passes through a small village called Taimara. The distance between Taimara and Ranchi is 40 Kms. The Kanchi River takes a steep dive to form the spectacular Dassam Falls. The water splashes from an altitude of 144 feet. This place is also called the Dassam Ghagh. It is set against a backdrop consisting of beautiful nature. It is not very safe to take a bath in the falls and so the tourists are told not to do so. It is one of the must see destination for the people coming to the Indian state of Jharkhand. For the people, who want to go into the water and swim, they can take a swim in the Kanchi River. By air: The nearest air terminal is located in Ranchi.
By rail: Gangaghat, Hatia and Tatisilwai are some of the railway stations via which one can access Dassam Falls.
By road: One can access this place via buses, taxis and private cars.
