Malleswaram Peak
It is worshiped by tribe people as Lord Shiva in the form of Lingam. People used to light the peak of this crest which is the highlight of Attarapadi. It is considered one of the gigantic natural shiva linga by devotees. Maha Shiva Rathri is grandly celebrated  with great gusto here and makes the silent and serene atmosphere into pomp and gaiety. The captivating beauty of this hilly region offers long lasting sweet memories and beautiful moments to visitors. One can enjoy variety of foods in the forest restaurants.

Silent Valley National Park
It is one of the pristine and preserved valley in Kerala, untouched by modernization and man. The brooding dense forests which are located in Nilgiri hills are believed to be fifty millions years old. The park is proudly spreads around 236 sq km in this silent valley. Variety of forests ranging from semi green, evergreen to deciduous and the montane grass lands are contributing to diverse ecosystem of silent valley. It is declared as Nilgiri Biosphere reserve by government of Kerala. It houses numerous mammals, reptiles and birds. The most endangered species of the Nilgiri langur  land ion tailed macaque cn be seen here. Excellent place to enjoy bird watching. A great place for nature lovers.

One can get to see various wild life species like panther, dotted deer, tigers, forest cats, fishing cats and sambar. Best place to shoot amazing photographs.
