Matedu is Historical and old village about 3000 people live in the village, it is ruled by Kakatiya Raju and their ruling they are gigged very big pond in the south side of the village. and built very beautiful temple in middle of the village Lard Shiva and Venugopala swamy temple, it is very power full god. It is that much of royal people lived in this village, Villagers established mineral water plant with there own contribution without support of the govt of Andhra Pradesh. On to the west side outskirts of the village,there is a temple for the Lord Hanuman. There is another specialty to this village, there is a statue of lord Vinayaka, in the woods(trees) sadly, the idol is not worshiped just like the others in the village and it is said that it is one of the biggest statue in the telangana region.
