Berchha Village is also Know as Berchha Jagir in postal circle.It was ruled by Pawar Rajputs till 1947. This Berchha Jagir was under Ex-Gwalior State(Scindia) .Last Jagirdar of Berchha till 1947 was Thakur Saheb Jaswant Singhji (1917-1987) a very popular personality and True social worker.
One Son of Thakur Saheb of Bijolian (Mewar-Rajasthan) came to Malwa in 1404 and Set Jagir in Village
Kantharia, Teshil,Medidpur,Dist-Ujjain (MP) around 16 TH Centuray second Son of Thakur Saheb of Kantharia as know as Sati Mata's Son(His mother has performed Sati) settled the Jagir of Berchha.His Name was Thakur Khemraj Singh.In third Generation of this family Thakur Saheb Sawant Singhji was officaly declared "Jagirdar Of Berchha'" by then Maharaja of Gwalor (MP) after hime following Thakur Saheb has succeded him-Thakur Mokham Singhji,Prithvi Singhji,Bhavani Singhji,Ratan Singhji,Shambu Singhji, Jaswant Singhji.This family is still living in their " GARH" (Castle or Fort) and looking after their Parental Agriculture.
Few members are working in reputed Private Sector Industries.
