BANK:

            Bank is not available. If you want to use banking we have move to Manamedu or Kolakkudi, this distance here from 2, 4 kms from alagarai. Then Musiri gets some nationalized banks.

            And Alagarai gets one Co. op. Society it�s very useful for this people. They are giving Jewel loan Agriculture Loan and collecting fixed deposit also.

PETROL BUNK:

            One petrol bunk is available. This is away from 2km on the way to Pavithiram.

THEATRE:

            This facility is not in here if you want to see film you have to go to Musiri or Thottiyam.

EDUCATION:

            Three schools are here for people�s education.

i). Elementary School

ii). High school

iii). Malalaiyar schhol.

More than 300 students are studying here upto 10^th standard. Every year Alagarai high school gets 90% and above the passing result in 10^th public examination. Then some Higher secondary schools are available at Kolakkudi(4km), Musiri(12km)Thottiyam (13km).People goes to near by Musiri for their under graduation. Vadugappatti (3km) from Musiri. One Government College is available at this place, Arignar Anna Government Arts College; this is undertaken by Bharathdasan Univerisity, Trichy. Here many UG courses, some PG courses are available.

            Alagarai has got many under graduate, some Post graduate and few Engineers.

POLICE STATION:

            Thottiyam is the controlling police station of alagarai. Then One Taluk Office, MLA office available at Thottiyam.

Perambalur is this MP area.

HOTEL:

            Alagarai not get even one Hotel. We have to move in Manamedu or Kolakkudi for food.

TEMPLE:

            Alagarai, gets well temple in and around place. Some temples are given below:

i).Adaikalam kattah Amman temple

ii).Sivan temple

iii).Thirumal temple

iv).Mariamman temple and etc.,

            Every year they are celebrating one Annual festival in Mariamman koil.. Every Tamil month Sithirai 1^st day they are celebrating one function in Adaikalam Kattah Amman.

ROAD:

            Road is very important for anything. If the road is very clear and perfect that country automatically go to developed. As well as Alagarai also get good road all roads are TAR Road. Even if you go to near by village you can see the Tar Road. But all roads are Single road. Except Trichy to Namakkal High Road.

I).Mullippadi:

            This is one of near by village around 1.5km from alagarai. One lake is available here. This is one of the biggest lakes in Tamilnadu State. Total area around 770 acres.

II).THIRUENKOVIL MALAI:

            This is one of another near by village. Here from distance 3.5kms. Thiruenkovil Malai is a small Hill; One Sivan temple is available in the top of the hill. The Siva Lingam is a MARAGATHA LINGAM.

Reason for this name:

            Once upon a time a SADU came to this temple for worship. That time the temple closed. He felt very angry, then he went to near by cannel and having bath Gods grace he changed �FLY� then he flied went to the temple and worship the God.

           There after the temple is Called �THIRUENKOVIL MALAI�.Then which cannel he had bath that cannel there after called �KONDA URUVAM MARI� now the cannel is called �KONDAMARI�

People using one proverb here that is;

            Afternoon -               SOKKAR

            Evening -                   THIRUENGANATHAR.

These three temples are Siva Temple.

Means: Early morning one pooja is conducting at KADAMBAR (Kulithalai ) around 5.30am,then Afternoon one pooja is conducting at SOKKAR (Iyer malai) around 11.30 to 12.30 pm, Evening one Pooja is conducting at Thiruenganathar(Thiruengamalai) around 4.30 to 5.30pm. Who can participate these three poojas on time in one day by walk, that person need not go to �KASI�, he gets �SIVALOGA PATHAVI� and not in �MARUGENMAM� This is the special of this these temples.

SPECIAL OF ALAGARAI:

            Around 50 years back one SADU (Brahmin) was living in Alagarai. He is very willing in worship. Daily morning he went to Cauveri River for having bath, after finished his bath, he returned to Alagarai when he return he flying his towel above his head. The Towel comes with him without any support. Once he reached his house he raised his hand the Towel automatically comes down his hand.

            Now, the street is available. But very few people is living there..
