There is a small Mosque in the village where the story begin with a pair of couple came to the village as Gypsies and they were give accommodation by the villagers. For the food they started working as cowherd in the village. On a particular day both of them died , villagers build a small tomb resting both their bodies and named it as "Kandumakkiyar kovil" ( The cowherd temple).
Its about Ayyanar temple located on the village limit which people in the village believe it to be the
"Patrons",then comes the Muniya kovil which is said to be another "Patrons" on the other limit of the village.
The Mariamman kovil is located at the center of the village which is very powerful in curing serious disease. Villagers believe in those days for curing diseases like smallpox, chicken pox
There is particular spot in the village where red sand is found people used the sand to build house which are still strong, the place is called as "Sengal Thavu". Now the sand from this place is used to make bricks.

In olden days Lord Siva devotees as well as called as 63 Nayanamargal were on a Pilgrimage to each and every Lord Siva temple.
