Both Christians and hindus living toghether with harmony, peace. The christians have a parish church dedicated to Sts. Joachim and Anne, parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother Jesus. This parsih has a middle school, there is also a convent, where the nuns stay. They serve in the school and in the parish. There is also a parish priest residing in this village.
Hindus have a small Muruga temple. Hindus and christians both join for the hindu festivels as well as chirstian festivels. Chrsitians celebrate their feast in the month of August. Many people participate in the feast. All those who are working in different parts of Tamilnadu, and India and as well as in abroad reach for this village festivel.
Our people have sense of faith and deep believe in God. People are not rich, they have to work for thier livelyhood. Since this area is a dry, no factories, no much fecilities, it's kind a ignored villages but people with thier hard work with determination, they try to come up in the lives like others.
Since there is no much work , people have migrated to Ciombatore, Chennai, Trichy, Devakottai for works leaving the families and also living with the families. Many also went to malaysia, Singapore and some Gulf countries in search of works. Even few are working in Europe in Italy.
The first generation is studying and trying to come up in the socity. Fr. J. Arockiasamy is the first priest of this parish and the village, he is serving in Italy. After seeeing him, some have joined in the seminaries stuying and some one also has become a preist.
You are most welcome to our village. You will have hospitality of our people.
Our village is very easy to reach from Madurai, Trichy and Chennai. There are good roads to reach by car and there are good bus services upto Thondi which is in the sea shore, just 5 minutes it's enough to reach from Thondi to our village by motocycles, autos etc., It's also very nice to reach immediately to ECR ( east coast road).
There also lot of things to see in our village, the christian church, hindu temple, our beautiful paddy fields, our common pond ( kanmai), different small ponds, very good, tall palm trees, other trees etc., Once you come to our village you will really like it.

Kurumilangudi is a small, beautiful, calm place. There are about 150 people living in the village. All of them farmers, mostly the rice is being cultivated when we have sufficent water. There is also big "kanmai" water tank, when it rains the water get saved by the different chanels. People are very simple, gentile, affectionate people.
