OverView of Tingalibam
Tingalibam is also known as Sakho migrated from Jaboka(Yansa) during 1960s and established the village in 1963.The village lies in the latitude of 26' 58'41" N and longitude of 95'7'19" E with the altitude of 160m. It is located 29.9 kms towards the North from Tizit HQ. It is surrounded by Loakkun in the north, Nokzang in the east, Yanpan in the South and Assam in the West.The word Sakho is of local dialect which means 'high' as one can view from Assam. The village is situated on the hill range known as Sakhozee which stretched from Longdihtoa to Arunachal Pradesh. The village was first established at the foothill of Sakhozee known as Kemnu-Phatho in 1963.The village was built during the period of Tongam Chongwang and Panwang Wangham Jaboka. Shri Ashah Wangyen and Shri Longshah Wangyen were installed as Wangsupa.
The village was recognised as Tingalibam by the govt. of Nagaland in the year 1973.Unwilling to settle at the plain the village was shifted to Sakhohoa in 1989.Shri Patoh Munham was the first settler at Sakhohoa.
The nomenclature of Tingalibam was altered to Sakho on 20th sept 2023 by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Govt of India vide letter No.11/18/2023-M & G dated 1st sept 2023.
