OverView of Majhigan

Majhigan is a small village which lies in Mayurbhanj,Odisha.about one thousand people lives in there now it is devided into two wards and its panchayat office is Bhatachhatra.when it was not devided Sumanta Kumar Mohakud was ward member in the session 2009 to 2013   and its known for a peaceful village. The peoples are form different castes and communities , end of the village standing a temple since above hundred years named "Chandeswar mandir" with covering with beautiful nature . Most of the people are dependent upon agriculture. There are many educated people in our village Very few of them work in high offices under the Government . There are teachers, professors,doctors, Engg and businessman who live in towns and come to the village during holidays.There is a high school(newly opened) in the village There are also a primary schools in our village There is a health post and a post office the village market is very small named "Gaduj market" or "Baden market". People have to go about 10 km. to meet big market named Bisoi and Manada. There is an association of the people to develop the village . The association helps the poor people for loan at low interest. Villagers are cooperative, so our village is an example of co-oprative village People organize volleyball , football tennis ball cricket tournament annually.The climate of the village is very good. It is neither so cold and nor so hot. Pure drinking water is provided. There is a small rivers flowing east side of the village . The rivers and a small forest are its ornaments. As the villagers are hardworking and honest, our village is being improved with many facilities. Transportation and hydro- electricity are coming soon. our village is one of the best villages. Today is fourteen April two thousand thirteen villagers organize a  function named pala..."PALA" is a one type of dance which is arrange by the villagers in every years for four nights for sacred environment of village.KULU ,
A village never show up on world history because of the village is inhabited by farmers and poors these men are models of industry and always try their best to grow crops for all . some one always trying to do some special fore development of village.
