OverView of Jingi
Jingi is a village located about 8-10 Km from kuru in Lohardaga district. it is one of the best village of Lohardaga district. At the start of village there are two big ponds one is just beside the main road and other is surround by the beautiful temples near the pond and one school is also there just in fron of the pond majority of population appox 95% are hindu and few are muslims but here never had any problem with the religion people live happily together and majority of population relying on tradition business and farming .
well architectured village and people are very much spritual and honest.
I am very much curious on my Past Generation i.e about my forefathers history.
My name is Khokan(childhood name), School certificate name is Ashok Tirkey. I am a Mechanical Engineer from Regional Engineering College, Durgapur [1981-85 Batch], son of Sri Suren Tirkey, Retd. Head Master of a Primary School - Narsingpur Spl. Cadre Pry. School.
We are Staying in Jalpaiguri District, of West Bengal since Last 2(two) generations, My Grandfather Late Mathura Tirkey was basically from Vill. Jingi, Po. Kuru, Dist. Lohardaga (earlier Ranchi).
Mathura, Tetenga were cosecutive brothers, came to Narsingpur leaving their younger sister & other relatives - Sohrai, Mangru etc. As I recall my father told the name of the said sister was ..... later on I will write confirming the details from my father. The daughter of the said sister was/is married with Mr. Aita Oraon, who ofcource once visited our present house at Ethelbari (near Narsingpur) during his Posting at Binnaguri Army Cantonment in Jalpaiguri District. He is out of our contact since 10/12 years. If some of our branch generation should have contact us then I will bee very very happy to contact them & I will fulfil the desire of my old father to get visit to our forefathers' native place.
