Champora village in district Kupwara also known as gateway to Ramhal. It has also a habitation with it namely "Nowbough". Nowbough has almost 102 households in addition to house holds of Champora according to 2022 Talaash Survey done by Teacher Showkat Ahmad Pir and Mohammad Iqbal Pir of Government Upper Primary School Nowbough. One Middle School Ups Nowbough and one Primary school SSA Mir Mohalla Nowbough are also in this habitation. Actually the Village is about 120Km away from summer capital Srinagar and 20 Km away from district headquarter Kupwara and 23 Km from sub district Handwara. It is located in Tehsil and Block Ramhal and education zone is Villagam. The village has its natural beauty and bestowed by treasure of pure water and pure atmosphere. From North side it has Sholoora of zone and Tehsil Kralpora. From east it has village Kalmoona, from south it has Wooripora and villagam ,from east it has Lankration Dohama. The nearest hospitals to the village are Sub district hospital Kralpora, PHC Villagam and PHC Tarathpora.The only connectivity to the area is road connectivity. The nearest offices are Tehsil and Block Office at Ramhal Tarathpora, Zonal Education Office at Villagam, Branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and ATM's in Villagam and Tarathpora. The Village Champora has 4 Masjids, 2 in Champora and 2 in Nowbough. Champora village starts from famous bridge known as Rang Kadal constructed during British Reign over river Kehmil the famous river of the area. While reaching at Rang Kadal facing south and then east one has to move some meters ahead and turn left to get in this village.It has also a beautiful and wide road connectivity. Moving forward while facing towards east and moving about a kilometer a beautiful and wide road connectivity on the right side takes you to habitation Nowbough. It has some beautiful apple gardens on both sides of the road. The village has 7 wards according to Panchayat raj system. The people of the village have helping nature and are sympathetic. It has also a small market and about all items of daily use one can get there. Also a motor vehicle Workshop has been inaugurated recently in June 2022 namely Mir Motors on Champora villagam road gives best service to customers.
