OverView of Dimiripal
DIMIRIPAL : The name Dimiripal drives from two wards. 'DIMIRI' & 'PALA'. The DIMIRI popularly known as a Jungle tree & PALA where one type of tree plenty avails.
Once upon a time the village area covered by jungle with most of DIMIRI trees on the bank of river Kani & its surrounding area. When village is established, on old decades peoples were named the place as DIMIRIPALA. Now it is written in English as DIMIRIPAL, popularly known as village 'DIMIRPAL ' & The HQ of Dimiripal Panchayat.
Dimiripal Panchayat ( undivided) consisted villages were Dimiripal, Manpur, Argal, Argal Sasan, Sanagiri, Maharakul, Madhuban. Presently Dimiripal Panchayat consisting of villages are Dimiripal, Maharakul, Madhuban & Sanagiri.
Natural scenery, geographic location , presence of different types of birds and animals , different kinds of plants & flowers, cold wind, pollution free air gives the people peace, comfort & makes the mind romantic. It is 10 Km distance from AUL (Block HQ) & 12 KM distance from Singhpur Market
During old decade villagers were very simple living. Only 35 families with 250 family members is now 280 families with 1100 family members. Villagers were depends upon cultivation, domestic animals, rivers & neighbor villages for their daily needs and also they were depends upon jungle for collecting woods, fruits, honey, animals, birds etc. Life of Dimiripal villagers are very hard some. Natural calamities like flood, cyclone, tornado are common for them. There were no communications, roads , schools & electricity avail in the village before 1955. Peoples were never seen concrete houses. During old days following animals( Deers, Cheetahs, Jackles, Foxes, Rabbits, Baranhas etc.), variety type of birds ( Peacocks, king fishers, crows, vultures, eagles etc) were seen in the village & its surrounded area. Day to day time changes & life style of villagers are also changes. After 1960 peoples were seen a road connecting Dimiripal to state highway no. 56. After 50 yrs the state highway was completed during year 2009-2010. By the by Temples, Schools, Clubs, committee are founded, Electricity & roads connected & peoples were free to go outside for jobs & business, students were gone to outside for higher study. Percentage of ladies are more than gents in this village. Outside works done by gents people i.e cultivation, marketing, care of domestic animals etc. & Home work done by ladies people I.e. cooking, washing dress materials, taking care of child's & homes etc.) . Still the peoples are struggling & fighting with the situations as on today.

Dimiripal was the Champion of Football in AUL & RAJKANIKA area. DIMIRIPAL Team Leaded by Mr. Surendra Nath Panda ( Player/ coach/referee). Other famous players are Babu patra ( the goal keeper), Prafulla Boity, Amulya Boity, Gouranga sethy, Kailash sethy, Kiran Das, Ambaresh Boity, Sarat Barik, Sailendra Barik, Sushant Behera, Tulashi Boity, Baikuntha Boity, Hemant Boity, Sasanka Das, Anand Sethy , Sanatan Mallik & many more. All players were always in positive mood to win the game.
Football tournaments were arranged by villagers with supervision of Mr Surendra Nath Panda. Invites football teams to participate in competition. ( other popular teams are : Manpur, Juania, Gobindpur, Kalaspur, Mahadeipatna, Batipada, Taras, Aul, Bhuinpur, Baghoboda, Jaguleipada, Singhpur, Masada etc.) Chief Guest: Former M.L.A & MP Sj. Sarat Kr Dev was the chief guest of tournament in the final match. He always encourages to the players. He distributes medals & shields to both winner & runners up team. That was the great moments for the villagers & players.
BALIDIHA :( A Large field) ( Name of Play Ground)- Balidiha is the large field having area of 80 acres and largest field in Aul Block. This field is for common use . ( 5 acres for Samshan, 5 acres for Talab Pokhari) , 5 acres for playing games, remaining area uses for domestic animals & keeping crops by farmers).
TALAB POKHARI : A big pond having area of 5 acres. Main water reserver of village for common use.
MATHA MAHARA : Length -1 KM, width - 50 Mtr, A water reserver for cultivation & fishing purpose.
PANCHAMANIA MAHARA ; Length -6 KM, width- 50 Mtr, Connecting Argal Sasan to River Kani. 2 Km distance of this Mahara is water reserver for common use by the villagers of Argal Sasan & Argal. During tide water enters into this Mahara. This Mahara water uses for cultivation only.
MAHARAKUL MAHARA : Length 4 Km, width 50 Mtr, Flood water passage from river Kharasorta to river Kani. Villagers are uses this water for cultivation.

NARAYANPUR MATHA : Is common Peace place for public use having area of 5 acres property. Matha Mahuta is the owner of this Matha. Students from nearby schools & neighbour villagers are use this place for Banabhoji during winter.
BISWASANTI YANGA held this place every year in winter, thousands of peoples are gather for peace & worships.
CHANDRASEKHAR TEMPLE: is the oldest temple. The temple was broken by natural calamities . Only Shivalinga was there surrounded with stones & covered with two big trees for a long period up to 1990. Then a trustee (Mr Ramakant Patra) villager of Dimiripal donated & constructed temple newly.
On Jagara Mela ( Shiva Rathri) thousands of devote gathering here. Daily, Devotes are come to this temple from early morning to evening.
SCHOOL Records: Dimiripal U.P. School created some scholar students. Ex-Head Masters, Mr. Kashinath Sahoo, Mr. Biswanth Mohanty & Mr Seshadev Lenka are always remembered to every one.
During period of Mr Kashinath Sahoo, some talent students were got scholarships under Pattamundai Sikhya Zilla. In 1979 Dimiripal U P school awarded & arranged teacher training program by the school inspector Pattamundai Sikhya Zilla. Teachers from different schools gathered in the school & deliver their teachings to the Class- V students of 1979 batch. Interesting is that every students had talent in that batch & teachers are confused with their questions .

PALLYMANGALA SAMITI . (Village Committee) . HQ of Pallymangala Samiti is at Dimiripal & Its branch offices are working at Kolkata & Rourkela. Motto of this Samiti is to serve the people,Put hands on Social works, give Justice to villagers, plans for developing works. Supervising schools, common festivals & marriage functions, force of natural calamities. If any incident happen in the village then Samiti is handover the matter.
KANJIA BODA : If any domestic animals ( cow, goat, sheep) are not taking care by the owner, then the in charge of KANJIABODA & volunteers are take the domestic animal to their custody. After collecting fees from owner , they are releasing animal. ( It is one type of justice & punishment system of village). The fees which were collected is the revenue of Pallymangal Samiti.
DRAMA ( Entertainment program). Young boys are arranged for the same. Story select by them and actors chooses & starts real sale before one month. Date Fixes & Declares by Drama committee. All members are donate fixed amount . For shortfall amount members are collect fees form villagers. Some peoples are also donate voluntarily for this entertainment program. Villagers are invites to their relatives & friends to watch this night entertainment program.
SARASWATI PUJA : Saraswati puja started by Sara Akash Club in the year 1983. Popularity of this puja spreads and now a days 5 puja mandaps are establish to celebrate the Saraswati Puja. This puja continues for 4-5 days. On this occasion puja arrangers along with their friends, relatives gathered in the village to celebrate puja, distributing happiness, attending functions, Bhoji & procession etc.
JANTALA : ( A Bhoji for get together) Jantala arranged by village committee. All are allow to become a volunteer of Jantala . All are invited & bound to attend in the Bhoji. Jantala program is as follows:

Volunteers are collect fees in form money & rice from village.

Villagers are donate rice, vegetables, money etc.

Early morning on Jantala day, fisher mans alongwith Jantala volunteers were catch fishes from river & ponds.

Jantala Bhoji starts from mid noon to till afternoon. It is great moment for all to gather in one place & eating together without any caste bar.
PANCHUATI DISTRIBUTION : ( Massage with distribution of sweets on happy moment) : Panchuati means mix of five(5) food grains with sweets & chakuli pitha. Panchuati send from uncle's house of new born baby for distributing massage to their relatives, friends, neighbors & villagers.
EKOISIA PUJA : ( Family function for new born baby). After birth of new born baby, on 21st day parents & family members are arranged EKOISIA Puja along with Bhoji and invites to their friends, relatives & neighbors to attend with their happy moments.

TRAGEDIES OF DIMIRIPAL.
FIRE TRAGEDY : 2009, 1ST MAY : Severe fire broken the life style of 100 families. Crores of property smashes by fire. Malay Kr Behera lost his daughter in this fire. She was 7 yrs old & her name was Sweety. 10 Nos of cows also lost their life .
SUPER CYCLONE WITH HEAVY FLOOD: 1999 - All the villagers were losses their property. Houses, properties were smash away. Without food , drinking water, cloths Dimiripal villagers & their domestic animals were fightened with the tragedy to save their life.
CYCLONE TRAGEDY: 1982 . Villagers were affected by cyclone. All are losses their property. School building & houses of village were broken. Narayanpur Matha broken with lost of 4 Nos life . Lost life's were - Ram Baba (Matha Mahunta), Budha Baba, Nakhi Pagala & Bamadev Das
HEAVY FLOOD : 1975 . Village Dimiripal was under the water. Only three high altitude places save the life of entire village people. Villagers & their domestic animals were struggled their life without eating, drinking & sleeping for 3 days.
COMMON TRAGEDY : Flood is common tragedy for Dimiripal village. Entire village covered by flood water for 3 months ( July to September). During these three months communication source is only private boat. No facilities supplies to village by govt for their communication. Students/Teachers are stops to go schools & colleges. Business people are go to market once in a week. Daily need things ( Kerosene, rice, wheat , oil , vegetables etc) are not avail sufficiently. Water is polluted. Electricity cuts. Every year 8-10 domestic animals are lost their life.
