OverView of Korar
KORAR is a beautiful village located in the north bastar district kanker of chhattisgarh with a population of 2753(as per 2011 census). It is covered by mountains and forest from different sides. It is said that during 18th century, when the king BHANUPRATAP DEV was passing by this place he rested for sometime here and the place for resting of kings are called KAURAR which later changed and became the name KORAR. This place is not that big but the arrangement of homes and wards is so organised and attractive.This place has a higher literacy rate than Chhattisgarh overall literacy rate which is 80.53% compared to 70.28% of Chhattisgarh(2011 census). The language spoken and understood is Chhattisgarhi, Hindi, and English.The village constitutes of variety of people including migrants from other different states of the country living happily and peacefully.The people here are most friendly and supportive to each other. As it is a village near forest and mountains one may often see some wildlife creature wandering near by but not any case of human harm has been reported so far.Overall it's a nice place with nice people.
