OverView of Matanhail

Matanhail is a picturesque village/town located exactly west of Delhi and 70KM from historic Lal Kila and Chandani Chok. Matanhail is tehsil and is part district Jhajjar of Haryana state.it has many beautiful johad(natural water pools)and has reserved forest land of approx 1200 acres, which is a unique feature of this village.the forest comprises Jaal Trees,Kair,Kikars and many more trees which are found in this semi arid zone. Major caste of the village are Jats and

Brahmans(chorasia and gaur and vashist),Bania,chamar,kumbhar and Balmiki.the people of the villave live in complete harmony and there was never any caste based discord in the village.The historical village of Matanhail was founded around 550 yrs back by some Mr. MATAN who came from Rajasthan. Initially there was a big jungle and village was inhabited by removing roots of trees of the jungle, so the village was named as Jaddtoli (Jadd means roots). The village has had and is having lot many people of caliber like Colonel Bharpur Singh (Poli Pana), Sh Ram Avtar Sharma (An National level Athlete and wrestler, Poli Pana), Sarpanch Dalel Singh (Near Govt School), Pradhan Umed Singh (First well qualified Sarpanch of Village, Poli Pana) and Mr . Narender Singh( babbaal sarpanch)( the best till now)

. It’s the village wherefrom maximum number of personnel are in Indian Army from any village. It was during World War - II, that some villagers participated in World War with the then British Govt, with a notion that once Britain wins the World War, India will be freed of it's slavery. Village has many acres  of jungle. The village has a place of religeous importance commonly known as "Dada Muthra Puri Ki Samadhi". Dada Muthra Puri was a great saint of his time. Though having large literacy rate, villagers need to be more wise, honest, educated, morally sound and socially responsible. They should rise above the social evils like castism so as to take the village to new heights. Lets make it an Ideal Village . And there is a good news for villagers that college for B.COM And B.A starts in our govt. school. boys so students also join for study in their own village instead of other far cities.It is town of best wrestler like vivek suhag husband of babita phogat, vishal (hindkashari) and many more 

The nature of the people of Matanhail is very sweet. People are mostly inclined towards education.  All the basics facility exists in the village.  Apart from SBI, village has PNB and HDFC Branch and copperative bank. A well equipped 500 Bed govt hospital  and vaterniary hospital is situated on Bhaujholri Road. The village is engulfed with connectivity of the roads. The famous "Gausala"is located  in front of Govt College Kosli road. 

The main crops of the village are Dhan, Wheat, Sugar Cane.
