OverView of Gudipadar
History Of Gudipadar : Gudipadar village was established during late medieval 1660-65 AD. Initial name of "Gudipadar" was "Padmapur" and it was situated beside of State Highway (Now it is N.H -5) during that period. There were lot of temples Lord Shiva, Ammavari temple(Goddes Durgamma temple) ,and one of the temple lain on the side of highway(i.e Goddess Yellama temple, Traditional Hindu Goddess), people were worshiping there, and celebrating functions during the season. Their main source of income was cultivation. During 1660 AD,when Mughal Emperor ordered the destruction Hindu temples, the small small temple beside of the Highway was also destroyed . And it happened during 1660. The people of the village scared of the incident, as their Goddess had gone,and there wouldn't be survival as they lost their belief, so they started moving away from that place And the village established again during 1662 1 kilometer away from earlier place.Also the name of the village was changed from Padmapur to Gudipadar. And now it is Gudipadra. It is very peace full village un comparable to any other village.
Politics:
Present the village sarpanch is Y.Mohan Rao. He belongs to National Congress. He won 4 times consecutively . Uncontested win by him for the last two times.
Development of the village is worse than any other villages. People are suffering from water poblem, electricity ,communication problem. Lot of problems are there. The drinking water quality is worse and even sufficient.
