OverView of Hatiadi
It is situated in between Karapada and Manikyapur. Till now the only way to Hatiadi is through Manikyapur from Chikiti road.The connecting road of Karapada and Hatiadi is not yet completed. Best way to reach here is through Manikyapur road only.Demographic Dividend
Majority of the people are dependent on agricultural outputs. More than 90% of farmers are small or marginal farmers. Apart from the agricultural activities, people also gain money from forest products and small business. Very few people of this village are salaried employee who works in organised sector or government agency, the count is less than ten. Most of the semi skilled village youth are migrated to other state or Arab countries to fetch money. Some youths are engaged themselves for the preparation of competitive examinations.
Natural Calamities & Physical Geography
As this village is near to Bay of Bengal, prone to the tropical cyclones. Recent cyclones like Philin in 2013, Hoodhood in 2014 and Titili in 2018 are caused severe devastation. Almost all families are affected due to these cyclones which damaged natural resources as well as man made resources. Many trees are uprooted, mostly the teak/saguan trees which are cultivated by many farmers. Many huts and tilled roof huts are damaged which caused severe monetary losses for the poor families.
The Hatiadi village situated near the Kerandimala Hill range and no river is flowing near to it. So it is proof from the flood situation. Most of the agricultural lands are non-irrigated. It has major water bodies those are Sagar (a dam built near the foot hills of Kerandimala hill range to store rain water), Badi Bandha (Village pond), Mali Bandha (Village Pond) and Hetha Bandha (Village pond).

Ganesh Puja (Vinayaka Chaturthi), Holi, Dola Purnima, Siva Ratri, Diwali etc. are being celebrated with enthusiasm.
