One of the best valley in district ganderbal. Just like paradise in ganderbal. wangath, the "Paradise on Earth", is known for its captivating beauty. It is encircled by three mountain ranges of the Himalayas all about the beautiful wangath valley that is known for its beautiful mountains, green forests, rivers and pastures.
Wangath Valley The name is itself a landmark for the best landscape,climate and historic importance. It has been recorded in the historic that Neolithic culture was on Full swing in this part of the kashmir. Wangath acts as the doorway for the one of the oldest Shiva Temple located at Naranag Build by Lalitaditya Muktapida in (724-61 AD). Wangath Valley is situated in the North West region of the District GANDERBAL (The Central Kashmir) on the bank of the River Known as Wangath Nallah.
Wangath is inhibited by The Raina's (constituting its most important Clan) ,Mir and Bhat Clan. The most firm belief of the people is Islam and are known all over the world for their good Humanitarian Behaviour and Hospitality. (Author is on research. So More to Come Soon).
