OverView of Gaddan Dob
Brief history: Sardar Gajjan Singh Brar who came from village Malkana near Talwandi Sabo {Bathinda} laid the foundation of village Gaddan Dob in the second half of 19 th century. He camped on the mound (Theh)spread in 15 acres.He marked the boundary of the village. In 1902-4 Sirhand canal (Abohar Branch) reached in barren area of the village and got water for irrigation, soon barren land converted to fertile land.Cotton,wheat, sugarcane,grams and barley were main crops at that time. Bathinda - Samma - satta krachirailway line laid in 1892-95 under british regime, Abohar/Malout mandis developed and marketing of farmers produce became easier.There are four pattis. These are Malkana, Jhorar, Sahu and Swag pattis; Land holding of pattis is almost equal.
Presently Available facilities in the village are Govt High School, Veterinary Dispensary, Bank, Post office water works and well connected by roads with bus service .Bio mass power plant on Raniwala road providing jobs tio villagers. There is a beautiful Gurdwara where people pay obeisance.
Now village needs +2 school, sewerage system and primary health centre. Water pond of village should be cleaned and renovated .All communities of the village live happily.
