Madhab is a ancient village established in 1278 AC By king 2nd anangavima dev. This village is famous for lord shree Madhabananda jew (sri bishnu) .according to his name the name of the villege is like this. There is direct bus connection from cuttack by 42km. About 7000 people are living in this village. Most of them depends on agriculture and some are milkmen. Muslims are also living in this village. About 95 percent people are literate.

MANAGING COOMMITE OF MADHABANANDA JEW TEMPLE 

 Madhabananda jew temple managed by  state government and a trust board under endowment commission managed by state government. All property of MADHABANANDA JEW TEMPLE such as land, agriculture land, building , temple protection , forests, ponds, gardens etc are managed by temple TRUST BOARD. This board approve by state endowment commission. The BOARD members elected by chhatisa nijog and the chairman of board appointed by commission for five years. Chairman of board as known as trust board Chair man. 

FESTIVALS OF MADHAB VILLAGE 

The famous festival of madhab village is BADA AKADASHI YATRA. This festival is observed in the month of MAGHA, Sukla akasashi day every year.Autually the temple of Lord Madhabananda jew was established on this day and to remember this people celebrate this great festival. About 1,50,000 people gather on this night to watch MAHA DIPA. Beside BADA AKADASHI YATRA villagers celebrates Dola Purnima, Raja, Ganesh Puja, Krushna Janmastami, Chandan Purnima, Rakhi Purnima, Samba Dashmi, Bhalukuni Osha, Budhei Osha, Kumar Purnima, Jhulana Yatra, Chandan Yatra, snana purnima, Dola Yatra etc and and all are festivals same as jagannath Temple puri only with out Ratha yatra celebrate at MADHAB TEMPLE. 

Muslim people observe Idul Juha, Idul Fiter, etc.

Madhab village for a sweet able for Education. 95 percent people are literate in this village. MADHABANANDA JEW HIGH SCHOOL , 5nos u.p school and 2nos M.E  school in this village .Madhabananda jew High school a ideal school in orissa state. But Madhab village student depend out standing collage or institution for higher Education .  There is no Hospital in madhab. People depend upon Charichhak Medical and Niali Medical.
