Vivekananda education society an prestigious institute in this locality also in chikkaballapura district having English medium school from Lkg to 10th standard puc college having combination of pcmb, pcmc, in science and ebacs, heba in commerce and hesp in arts division giving good results from past 30 years Last year ie in 2019 started first grade degree college of commerce and science combinationVillage is having 16 temples of different god/goddess,amongst the lord Shiva temple and lord basaveshwar temple are more than 400 years old, the then ruler Rana byregowda ancestors of nadaprabhu Kempegowda built this temple in the village as recorded in history. Mallur is once called as mini japan of India in 1980s because of highest milk production and highest silk cocoon production, where number of farmers in India and foreign delegates had visited and appreciated the village farmers hardworking and effort for their contribution to village development.
In 1958 an co-operative based seva sahakara sangha started by villagers which caters the needs of villagers such as fertilisers, farming equipment, clothes, groceries and other essentials on affordable prices, on nonprofit sharing among the society members. A primary health centre, to provide health facilities in collaboration with st John hospital Bangalore, under the name of mallur gramabiruddi sahakara sangha managed by villagers. To encourage village artisan and weaving community started wool weaving society, in early 1960 Though an small village in those days around 1500-1800 population was economically stable and innovative farming methods village more popular in the undivided kolar-chikkaballapur district as well as karnataka The information is incomplete without mentioning the man behind all the development of this village,he is visionary and always thinks about upliftment of villagers,
