OverView of Rengali
Rengali is one of the oldest village formed by Late Narayana Pujahari who got the entire land of this village as a gift from the then king. Along with that the king also awarded him the title CHAND (moon) to be used in his name in place of PUJAHARI as the king was impressed by his work quality and social service and declared that his followers would be rewarded by the same title after their names. The name of the village Rengali came from the very word Rengal (Local name of a wood bearing tree) which is a tree most frequently found in this area. Narayana Chand was very kind hearted and he provided land for shelter and cultivation to those poor individuals whoever comming there. Over a period of time one village was formed with good number of people. Narayana Chand was very keen in cultivation and awarded 10 gold medals from the government for cultivating good quality of vegetables.
Initially communication with external world was a very big challege as there was no proper road to this village.Now also condition is not so good but improved somewhat after PMGSY programm.
The life quality of the peoples in this village is not that improved as most of the peoples depend on cultivation as their principal source. In cultivation the major one is crop production which require plenty of water and these peoples mostly depend on moonsoon rain which is not certain because of the change in enviornmental condition.
Most of the people in this village are illiterate which is the main constrain for their progress. Though primary school is there but adequate numbers of teaches are not there. High School is situated at about 5 kilometers from this village which is not possible for girls candidates to continue their study.
There is no Hospital near by this village. In case of any medical emergency they have to rush about 15-20 kilometers to find a Primary health center.
This is some of the highlights which may not explain properly about the village. But only thing is that if you need peace and good amount of pure oxygen then surely visit once.
