Motras is a village in Rajasthan state of western India. It is located in the Aravalli hills, on the banks of the Khari River in Bhilwara District, 70 kilometers north-east of Bhilwara. This village is famous for its temple of Pabu ji Maharaj .It is surrounded by lakes and ponds. There are several temples in the village. A wonderful place for living. The ranges of Mount Aravali are visible very clearly. A village of Intellectuals, Simplicity & perfect harmony.
Motras has a quaint story of origin, carefully preserved by the locals. It said It was founded 300 year ago mid 17th century by three person Mr. Mota ji. He was Gujar . Mr. Jugul Kishor purohit . He was Brahman(shikwal) and third person dholi samaj. Supposedly these are first settler family. Mr. Mota ji was oldest person . And he was also called “judjmaan” in local language . So this village named “Motras”.
Motras is a Grampanchayt in Asind Tehsil . It made of 12 small village These are Gandhi Nagar, Hatundi, Akshygarh, Hamirgarh, Dedla, Modi mangri, sawigarh, jwanpura,Blhad ka padav, Dulha ji ka badhiya.
