OverView of Limber A

Limber-A is a Historical and one of the important village in the Boniyar area of Baramulla District in Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is one of the largest villages of Boniyar Tehsil. The village is 22 KM’s away from the District Headquarter Baramulla.  It is surrounded by many other villages like Shahkoot, Bimyar, Athshampora, Salambad, Wadikhah-challa and Pringal, There are many shrines (Astans) in the village like  (Nazam Shaib, Baba Gafoor Shaib, Peer Mir Shaib) The income of the village comes mostly from  Government Sector and Mazdoor (Labour) and there is little bit of agriculture source. In addition to agriculture, some of the population is also concerned with sheep which accounts 30% income of the village. There are reputed educational institutes like " Govt. High School Limber Middle School Kharhar Limber, Primary School Jahima Mohalla Limber, Primary School Hardan Limber, New Light School Primary School Kharhar Limber, in which all the students of ambient areas study. There are Seven mosques in the village including " Jamia Masjid Shareef Limber-“A" and Friday prayer is offered in Jamia Masjid Shareef Limber. There is a very beautiful Eidd Gah at Poshawari Limber, Eidd prayer is offered in the said Eidd Gah. Chinnar tree is also available in the Eidd Gah. Irrigation cannel passed from the village Limber to Shahkoot Warikhan for production of agriculture. Nalla Khar Kool is also passed from the village. Width of the Nallah is at about 150 Feet and clean water is  passed  through the Nallah. Surrounded villages are used the clean water of the  Nalla Khar Kool.  Seven Angan Wadi Centers were established by Social welfare Department for improvement of the education/ health of children/ pregnant / nursing mothers   in the village all the facilities are available in the said Angan Wadi Centers. Slight medical facility is available in the village (only first aid) like (Medical Centre Jahima Mohalla, Medical Centre Khan Mohalla, Sheep Husbandry Centre Jahima Mohalla Limber, Water, Electric, Road and Mobile connectivity/ facilities are available in the village.   

Population of the village is 3361, (Mail 1930, Female 1431) as per the census of 2011,   Language of the locals are ( 90% Kashmiri, 06% Parahi and 04% Gojuri) , religion of the inhabitants are   (100% Suni Muslims, Singh 0%, Pandith 0% Boud 0%) . As per the census 2000 & 2011 the village Limber is educationally topper in the Boniyar  Tehsil, but unfortunate the said village is undeveloped. The village is also wild life Sanctuary, (Markhor) is available in this wildlife Sanctuary, beautiful forests are around the village. The village is also tourist place but Government of J&K does not take steps to develop the village.

Necessary requirement for  the village:-    In the village there is urgent need  of Primary health Centre with Ambulance & Higher Secondary School the locals/students  of the village  do not suffer for the same.
