Lohariya town is established in about 1869 by the British subedar of GARHI mandal & the king of lohariya. It is placed 120 km. far from udaipur (lack city) & 37 km. from banswara (Town of 100 ice lands). Lohariya is a really very beautiful town which is bounded by forests around it. Basically name of this town is created by the presence of Iron in large scale and Initially only ironsmith(LOHAR) caste live here. As we know that Iron is called by LOHA in hindi.

Now so much different-2 castes living here such as jains, Bramhins, lohar & most are aadivasi the tribal caste. Govt. School of loharia is counted in top five oldest schools of Banswara district. Here places for tourism are generally old cultured temples like Gomat Giri, Somnath, Kapaleshwar etc. & most popular place is 6 km. far from here Beneshwar where three river meets (SOM, MAHI & JAKHAM ). Lohariya has great historical importance and it is also called as cherapunji of Banswara & generally spoken toung is WAGADI.
