People have built a grand water tank in the middle of village with their own efforts which is useful to quench the thirst of all living creatures. Apart from this, Ramganga-Naithana pey jal nigam yojana has a good support to the drinking water scheme. Many natural and traditional sources of the village like Naule, Gadere, Dhari/Dhara, Chashme, gool, Chhawaie etc. are still water-flowing and helpful to watering and irrigation to the agricultural land of the village farmers. Due to this irrigation system, we find plenty of crops; among them are rice, wheat, barley, peas gram etc.
Kanere, Timtha, Kakadkhet, Naubara, Naithana, Laluri, Kameduwa, and Naugao are our neighbourhood villages tied up each other with deep relations and mutual friendship. Masi, Chaukhutia, Bhikiyasain, Ramnagar, and Dwarahat are nearby famous city-bazaar, where people goes for buying their household things and daily shopping. Markets in these cities are very old and cheep, but full on with all type of commodities. Today even urban economist can find traditional buyer-shopper relationship are deepening their roots resulting growing small business, medium scale business and medium-large scale business with a boom. Micro-finance and non-banking finance is also on full swing based on trust, belief and mutual understanding.

Our village-Kabdola is a small but rich and beautiful village in the chakhutiya mandal of district almora, uttarakhand. It is about 350 years old village in the pali- pachhaun area. Rangili Gewar is spread over the banks of river Ramganga, and kabdola is a constituency village of the patti talla- gewar. In our village all residents are kshatriya-Rajput. Only two families of Bhatt and one each of Napoliya Rawat and Pindari Bisht are also living here since the inception of the village. People of this village are very simple, religious,cultural and believe in harmony, integrity, fraternity and peaceful life of community. Every person of the village is laborious and industrious. Every year once or twice sons and daughters of the village usually come to meet and celebrate the village 'Mahotsav', in the form of Devjatra, Baisi Mahotsav, Bhagwat Maha Yagnya etc. Prawasi Kabdolawasi always take keen interest to participate in as well as Kabdola Gram Sudhar Samiti Delhi take responsibility to organise the religious, cultural and other social program.People have built a grand water tank in the middle of village with their own efforts which is useful to quench the thirst of all living creatures. The major problem of a village in the hilly state is transportation.Without connectivity of roads, it is not possible to run a good transportation system in the hill area.We are fortunate that our village is linked with the road last year.
However, still it is a matter of great concern that educational institution like colleges, polytechnics and ITI are very far from the reach of village and such is the case of medical and health of people.Only a primary school without student-teacher and a dispensary run by only ANM for part time or can say half-day. There is no doctor no pharmacist and no life saving drugs and medicine in the anm centre. So same way the School building is standing alone waiting for students and their teachers to come teach and learn for better and bright future of the nation.
