Life in vijayanagarm is so beautiful. It was formed with different families migrated from different villages of Nalgonda and Guntur more than 5 decades ago. Entire village is of Catholics and everybody is interrelated and belonging to same caste. The only school in village, namely St.Joseph's High school, used to be the top in the town and was top in sports and cultural activities and attracted many students from different mandals, towns and districts too and supported them the distant students with boarding facility both boys and girls. It is an aided school and medium is in Telugu.St.Anne's is the name of the Church. Earlier the spiritual needs were met by CMI priests(recalling some names Fr.Ramesh, Fr.Moulice, Fr.Mathai, Fr. James Thundial) under the Chanda Diocese and it was later given to Adilabad diocese once this was officially formed. It is now officially with Adilabad diocese priests with Syrian rite.Prominent growth has been provided by the FCC (Franciscan Clarist Congregation) sisters. Their immense service to village and school have been immeasurable.
