Mahalla is a newly formed tehsil of Doda District. It is 35 kms away from District Headquarter Doda.It is situated on the banks or river Chenab. Paddy fields are one of its attractions. The rice of Mahalla is said have been the favourite of Mahraja of jammu. You can find many carved stones in Mahalla which are said to have been carved by pandavas of Mahabharata. We have streams of water connecting almost every village of mohalla tehsil. The land is very fertile and can grow almost every thing from paddy to Apple and bananas.
