Better, and perhaps correctly known as, Karudih, it is about seven kilometer from Saraiyahat. It falls under Saljora-Bandri Panchayat. Karudih has three hamlets, Karudih (proper) which has about 60 households inhabited by the Yadav and Santhal community; Hirna-Tand, which has about 40 households inhabited by the Ghatwal community; and Nima-Tand, which has about 50 households inhabited by Harijans and Santhals.
