tartar is place which is situated on the bank of river muhane where around 12000 persons(farmers )stayening and servive on cultivation. tartar haiving more than 125 years ago history having with good and bad exprience 20 years ago tartar was the top most crime area in bihar. till date there is no proper road for this villege still no light systems no police protection in this area. people says there was was a tree (tar) and some people has came and situated near by that tree from that time it got the name as a tartar. tartar have divided 12 ward. astabad is the front of the tartar. within few years astabad got 10 engineer and some of the gov. post too. there are various cast is leaving in this villasge ie. dhanuk (30%) yadavs(50%) sahani (10%) kurmi (2%) beldar (2%)paswan (7%) 1/3% male of this village going to outside hariyana and outher city for work. in this day also all villager having his own wapen. 3 month in a years all the crop field fild form floods but nothig taken care by gov. people have no good school, no hospitals available in this village.even tho if gov fund comes for the farmars, widows and old person the officers and mukhiya get benifift on this
