Mmalakpur is a small village in tehsil nawanshahr.prior to partition it was occupied by muslim jats maximum of barola gote who then migrated to punjab pakistan.Coordial relationship between inhabitants of this village the muslims and all others in surrounding villages of all religions,race and jaties was remarkable.My parents who migrated from this viilage in August 1947 to Punjab Pakistan always rememberd the life they and their past families spent there happily.They used to narrate their living facts in a sad tone which is still in my mind.My mother and father are not now alive because both departed to other unseen world.After searching a lot I succeeded to find this village on google earth.I was absolutely shocked reading its history and existing development done there.Can any resident of this village review this writing and tell exactly the existing condition of this poor basti.
