Chakar is Also known as Gurusar. The clean villege in India. All sewers are underground. Chakar has a lake called morgon lake East side of the village. Boundaries touching to chakar are Lakha, Hathur, Rama, Kussa, Minia, Lopon, Malah, Manuke. Chakar is about 5 kilometre Southwest sidhu from Gurdwara Mehdeana Sahib. Chakar has 7 story Gurdwara Shaib, 6th Sikh Guru Ji and 10th Sikh Guru ji visited Chakar. Chakar Still has 2 Kila Darbaja in left from 3 Kila Darbaja. Chakar has 4 patti and many Private and Govt. Schools. There is a English man Kothi still at North part of the villege right next to a irrigation ditch. Phd Doctor Bhag Singh Sidhu was from Chakar and livid in USA Winston Salem North Carolina. Principal Sarwan Singh Sandhu is also from Chakar. This village is blessed with worlds top athletes today since Dr. Bhag Singh Sidhu stated his 26 mile marathon and disk throw in 1952. History of Chakar Village.
In year 1323 AD, Tulsi Das son of Mokal Chand, a Hindu Rajput of Manj clan founded the village of Chakar in what is now present day Ludhiana District. Tulsi Das the great Rajput Chieftain of Chakar converted to Islam and took the name of Sheikh Siraaj Ud Din. Under the Delhi Sultanate rulers, the newly Rajput converted Chiefs to Islam where given a Jagir (fiefdom) which covered much of present day Ludhiana District which they held on to for centuries until year 1806.
