Since there is only one licensed bar  in venkatapura , many people from near by  villages including some villages in Andrapradesh come here for buying liquor.

Moreover venkatapura being gramapanchayti it has many government working bodies for people. It includes one higher primary school, one lower primary school, and a junior college. Morarji desai residential school is built and it is operational. You can travel to Andra from all directions except north west. Bank of Baroda is the only major and nationalalised bank operating in the village and its services are being utilized by nearby villages too. 

The village has very good roadway since it is newly constructed. The 95% of the villagers speaks telugu over kannada.
