The main or central part Furus is largely populate by Parkar families, of course with few Marouf familes, Tisekar families, Mahadik families, Sain Families, Bendkhale families, Sutar families and many more on the periphery of village.The level of education of Furusians is very high which mainly due the facility and privilege of school they were having since 1940 of which they took full advantage and acquired education by sending their children to Mumbai, Pune. Ratnagiri, Solapur, Mahad, Chiplun for higher education that might have continued mainly until 1980-85 and then after having many families settled in Mumbai and Pune they focused their attention to sending children abroad to places like USA, UK, Australia for higher education.Furus is having very strong economy and there is hardly any poor person in the village. The villages are heard saying "Zakwat tou Nikaltey hain par Gaaon mey kisko deneki ye badaa sawal hai".People from Furus have either temporarily or permanently settled world wide in countries like, UK, South Africa, East Africa, USA, Newzealand, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Muscat-Oman and through out UAE.Irrespective of their view and differences on the political issues of the village, people from Furus always remain untied and come together for any social cause of the village/persons of the village and do not allow any one to socially suffer thus making true reflection of the value of their education.There is almost every type of professional or trade person existing among Furusians, be these Doctors (Surgeons,Physicians, GPs,Psychiatrists,Gynecologists) or be these Engineers, a management Specialists, Economists, Account Professionals and Finance Management Specialist, I.T. Engineers and Computer Professionals, Teacher and Professors, Lawyers, Water Treatment and Water and Energy management Specialist, Chemical Engineers, Electronic and electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Architects, Electricians , Welders, Mechanics, A.C. Mechanic, Turners, Fitters, and many more to name. Furus has produced few good poets in the Kokan region and the richness is seen in the local cultural values which reflected in the cordial relationship between the people having faiths in variety of religions and never to enter into any fight on the faiths and religions.Possibly one of the ideal villages in India to be quoted and to be taken lesson from this small village having population not more than 5000 but equipped with, schools,banks,dispensaries, hospital, good road (a State Highway passing through) and water facilities.
