HISTORY OF KANDRA.History of kandra is very intresting.This village was named after a person named KANDRA MANJHI a person who is the cheif of his tribal.Acording to some myth he was called the hero of his village.During his time he had done so many welfare work for the people of his area. After his funeral this tribal get diminished and at last this tribal was totally extinct.Few year later a new community had ariven to bokaro come from the district gaya called BHUMIYAAR.This community was divided into four parts and ariven to diffrent mauja of bokaro.The four major are:-1.Kandra mauja2.dabur mauja3.kumhirdaba mauja4.tupra maujaISHWARI MANI SINGH CHOUDHARY was among the four parts of the Bhumiyaar community.Ishwarmani Singh choudhary belong to the bharadwaj gotra and he proceeded toward kandra. At that time the condition of kandra was quiet not good. He come with a large amount of wealth and foodgrain. He provided food and work to the people of kandra and in return he gave money to them. After few year he was choosen the king of that particular mauja. British government had also recruited as the king of that mauja.This goes for many years till india had got indipendece.After indipendence king system of government was totally abandoned across India.After few year of indipendence i.e. in1968 Indian government introduced panchayat raj system. The first mukhiya of kandra and near by village i.e. kandra, labudih,patthar katta side,partand, kamaldih and Ramdihwas RADHANATH SINGH CHOUDHARY.Again the next panchayat election was held after 32 years by jharkhand government i.e, in 2010 and the new mukhiya was elected to the corresponding villages named NARESH SINGH CHOUDHARY.
