About and History Of Kambalapally

In olden days, there were small two huts in a thick jungle which is at a distance of 10 kilometres from a small town called Manukota (the present name of the town is Mahabubababd). The name Manukota was originated from the name Mranukota, the meaning of mranukota is a kota build with complete trees. Two tribes were living in those two huts named as Ramudu and Laxmanudu with their families. A young man named as Krishna Reddy  Yrramreddy, aged 26 years in 1950, who was living in a village parwatigiri which is 9 kms to Manukota, used to go to the forest for hunting certain forest animals. One day he missed the way to return home in the deep forest and moved for two more days and at last reached the house of Ramudu. Tribals are very good in hospitality and he was impressed by their  wine made with Vippaputa and forest meat, and wanted to cultivate land in that area. Man always lives in a society. He called his relatives and friends to that area to settle. As the cost of the land is very cheap comparing to other areas. Time to time the village has grown exponentially form a population of eight in 1950 to a population of more than 8000 by 2005. A Kaman (gate) was built in 1958 in the western side of the village in memory of the tribes and from that day onwards, the village is called as Kamandlapally, and finally people used to call the village as Kambalapally. A Dhaba ( A  building) was built for the first time in that village. Hence Mr Krishna Reddy can also be called as Dhaba Krishna Reddy.
