Cheekurthi village become free from the hands of Congress Leader Sri N. Advi Reddy. He Ruled the Village for 33 Years. No development he never bothered about the development for the Village. During last Sarpanch Elections TDP Sarpanch  patlola swarooparanisrinivasreddy got elected with thumping majority against Advi Reddy. Now the Village started progressing in all the matters.He suppressed the village people.

Every festival in this village is together celebrated by all village folks. Hindhus & Muslims Live together like Brothers & sisters.All festivals like Vinayakachavithi, Bathukamma, Dasara, Krishnashtami, Ramzan, and Christmas celebrates collectively .

 The Village is situated on the Banks of River Manjeera. Peoples from all over the state come here for bath its a god gift for this area when peoples take bath at this River.
