Daharlangi is a small village/ hamlet residing about 54 household as per the census 20111.History is not known much as to how this came into existence. But the village has become almost static about the growth and expansion families and population. As the census 2011 literacy is poor despite number of schools running near to the village. Being at the border of two district Godda and Sahebganj not much attention has been given by the officials simply because the village has no connecting road. In the rainy season obviously children do not go to school. The reason is that either way you go out of the village you have cross the river- the village is in the middle of two river north and south. Mostly school children cross norther river to access the schools, market and catch bus for journey to district headquarters and towns. The south river is crossed for daily work like agriculture, grazing animals, fetching firewood and other domestic needs. To stay in rainy season in the village is like locked down, only means is on foot with a supporting stick to a kilometer to come out the village. you would be surprised that number of times the BJP MLA was contacted and brought to his notice that the village has no link road nor a bridge in the river whereby children and villagers suffer due to lack of connecting road but so far it remains as it was 90 years ago or more.Education has very poor who ever could some thing little played a role of middle men with the contractors and officials. They became stumbling block for development. How? Government development schemes what ever came was pocketed by the contractor with the connivance of these people. The contractor was allowed to his will of doing the work or not. These people obstructed people pro schemes - pm awas, old age pension, listing of BPL, ration card etc.Hence, till date the people of the village has become stagnate on all fronts.
